The Publication
The New Luxury Equation translates a mixed-methods study into an editorial format designed for luxury fashion professionals, brand strategists, marketers, retail professionals, emerging designers and fashion students. Its central proposition is that luxury has not moved cleanly from traditional to contemporary values; instead, additional symbolic, digital and experiential meanings have accumulated around traditional foundations.
The Research Question
To what extent do craftsmanship and heritage still shape contemporary consumers’ perceptions of luxury value?
The Evidence
The study combines a consumer survey of 104 respondents, three focus groups of approximately 4–5 participants each, one semi-structured interview with Ritu Sikka, Store Manager at Louis Vuitton, Delhi, India, and 10+ academic sources. Findings are exploratory.
